Learn Bookbinding’s Craft Workshop in Barnstaple, 17th April 2019
Yesterday saw one of the first “mid-week” bookbinding workshops that I’ve run in a little while. The vast majority of my craft workshops are held on a Saturday, but really that’s only because it’s the habit that I’ve got into, so if mid-week workshops appeal to you please let me know as I’m happy to schedule more!
Long Stitch Leather Journals was the subject of yesterday’s workshop. Five lovely ladies made the journey to my studio in Barnstaple to make their own beautiful books. It was a delight to welcome four brand new faces and a pleasure to see the return of one of my regular bookbinding addicts 🙂
Everyone made a journal to be proud of – some photos below:
If you fancy making one of these lovely books my next Long Stitch Leather Journal workshop is on Saturday July 27th. You can view the details of all of my currently scheduled classes here: Bookbinding Workshops
Don’t forget that if you can’t make it to one of my workshops I have bookbinding kits available – they really are a “workshop in a box” – You can learn how to make your own beautiful books at home on your kitchen table in no time at all.
I have all kinds of different craft kits planned, now that I’ve just about finished moving house I’m hoping to have plenty of free time to work on the projects that I’ve been wanting to do for so long!
As always if you have any questions about any of my workshops or kits – or just about bookbinding in general – please feel free to contact me … always happy to help!
Mandy
I can’t wait to see all the new kits you’ve got planned!! I’d better get saving up!!
Hello Mandy – these books are beautiful. I love the colours of the leather, the paper – everything about them. I really want to make one of these, but sadly can’t make it to Barnstaple at the moment. Maybe one day!
Devon is a “far piece” from Puget Sound…but I am cheering your efforts to share the craft!
Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful photos. Great for folk like me to enjoy your work – even though I’m in the Highlands of Scotland
