I received this kit for Christmas and made my first book yesterday. It is absolutely great! The quality of the equipment you get is very good (e.g the scissors are all metal and packaged nicely) The instructions for making the books is very, very simple and written in a way which is easy to understand. Which made making the book a very nice process. Honestly so pleased I received this as a gift and I will make many more!

I bought this based on Learnbookbinding’s facebook page. I stumbled across this when their ad popped up. I browsed their facebook page and decided to give it a go as it seemed like a legit website. I ordered the starter kit not having a clue what this would involve.
The starter kit arrived quickly, it came with very detailed instructions with pictures. It was so easy to follow and I managed to bind 2 books (starter pack comes with enough to make 2 books – value for money!). The paper inside the books are fantastic quality and are the book cloths. I am now awaiting my refill packs to make more, I have already recommended this to a friend who was interested in how I made both of my books. I now blame the owners of this fantastic business for getting me hooked onto this new craft of mine! 😀

The instructions were so clear, I managed to make 2 books without needing any extra supplies (except a few sheets of scrap paper!) and they turned out pretty good for my first try! Absolutely recommend this kit.

I recently purchased the ‘Complete Bookbinding Starter Kit’ as well as the ‘Sketchbook’ pack.
Everything I have received is of an exceptional standard. From the extremely well packaged kit right the way through to the detailed step-by-step instructions. It’s clear that a lot of thought and attention to detail has gone into this.
My preference would always be to attend a workshop in person, however being able to follow the instructions at my own pace and in the comfort of my own space definitely has had its advantages. I’ve just completed making my first A5 book and can’t wait to have a go at the sketchbook now.
Hoping that there will be workshops that I can attend in the near future. In the meantime I will no doubt be back to purchase more supplies.

I really enjoyed this. The instructions are clear and well illustrated, the tools are good quality and the papers are beautiful. I’ve made the two books from the kit and learnt a lot each time. The second one wasn’t perfect but was better than the first (which still wasn’t bad – both were given as Christmas presents). I’ll definitely be ordering supplies to make more.

Very well packaged, comprehensive kit! The tools and materials all feel like they’re very good quality and the instructions are marvellous, with very detailed steps, thoroughly photographed for every single action so you always have a visual guide to go with the clearly worded text.
Customer service was great too, very helpful and the dispatch and delivery was much quicker than anyone could ask for these days.
I highly enjoyed embarking on the process of learning to make my own notebooks with this kit, and would 11/10 recommend it to anyone looking to get into the craft as well!

I have found a new obsession! I had been looking for a good way to get into bookbinding, but all the kits I found were either unclear or incomplete. Until I found this golden grail: detailed and clear instructions, and *everything* in the box (minus some cans to weigh down your project). I’m hooked, and I’ve talked a bunch of other people into ordering theirs to join in the fun!

This was wonderful! I loved this kit so much, it’s a little more pricey but definitely worth your money if you’re just starting out. It give you everything you need to make 2 notebooks, as well as detailed instructions and quality tools to help you through your crafting. I would highly recommend this to anyone starting to make books, as it’s a wonderfully easy introduction, and has definitely got me hooked. Here’s to many more books in the future!

A high-quality, well put-together bookbinding starter kit containing everything needed to produce 2 books. I’ve loved making up the books and I’m hoping to purchase a few refill packs so that I can make gifts for some friends.
The step-by-step instructions are excellent and whilst nothing can beat an in-person course with a teacher at hand, these were detailed enough that I didn’t really get stuck; the ability to zoom into the images was a definite bonus.
I had a few minor queries and these were answered very quickly.
Thank you for giving me a glimpse into a wonderful new hobby/skill. It has been money and time well spent!
