Make Your Own Hollow-Back Journal
March 16, 2019 @ 10:00 am - 5:00 pm£65
If you have already attended the Introduction to Bookbinding workshop, or if you’re confident in your crafting-ability and would like to take your skills to the next level, this is the workshop for you.
You will use a sewing frame and a lying press to make a traditional hollow back book. The signatures are sewn onto tapes and the book-block is rounded; the book has a convex curved spine and a concave curved fore-edge.
You will take home a beautiful A5 half-bound journal with over 300 pages of fine quality paper, featuring headbands, and a ribbon page marker.
All tools and materials are provided for the day. Tea, coffee and biscuits are provided. This workshop is not suitable for children, minimum age 13.
This Workshop will be held at my studio situated in Boutport Street in the centre of Barnstaple.
Just £65 per person. This includes all tools & materials – and tea & biscuits! 🙂
